Cartwheel’s co-founders have known each other for 27 years, from their days on the Math Team at Lexington High School in Lexington, Massachusetts. We were one grade apart and both went to college at MIT where we studied Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.

We worked for decades in the software industry, David co-founding Etherpad (acquired by Google) and Amal co-founding LiveLoop (acquired by Microsoft). When we had kids of our own, we reconnected and found that we had similar concerns about the technology that our kids were being exposed to.

We co-founded Cartwheel in 2024 to give our own kids, and yours, the quality technology that they deserve.
